RELATIONSHIPS

When I saw this statue at Disney World, I thought - that is how ALL THIS (Disney World, Epcot, Disneyland, Animal Kingdom, movies, etc.) was started. A man named Walt Disney created a little mouse named Mickey Mouse. And they became "Partners"! And that was some relationship. Many many years later - one cannot think of Mickey without thinking Disney.

When I was thinking of that relationship - I began thinking of other relationships that in my life mean alot to me (and even more to the people involved). They are my sisters and brother - Marilyn AND Vince; Larry AND Betty; Pat AND Sully; Carole AND Dave; Ann AND Al. Those relationships say a lot to me. I thank God for each and every one. And I love each and every one. Each of those have a very wonderful relationship - marriage, partners, friends. Then there is the relationship we all have to each other - family - siblings - friends. And then our relationship to the rest of the family - Aunt Dixie, my nieces and nephews - my siblings' children and grandchildren. All those relationships all meld together in a loving, wonderful way - called FAMILY. And I thank God for my family and for blessing our family in so many ways.

But the most important relationship of all for ME and I hope for the rest of my family - is the loving, most personal relationship I have with God the Father and Jesus, His Son. There is not a day goes by that I do not give thanks to God for His Son Jesus who died for me so I can forever be with HIM. What love - love we cannot even begin to imagine. Divine Love - Amazing Love. I love Jesus and I love God the Father and I know when I get to Heaven I will know even greater love than I have now!!

"Thank You Father for loving ME - for loving me with a love I cannot even begin to fathom. I love you Father and I pray I will always show my love for You in everything I do!!"

THE MONORAIL

Ah yes!!! The monorail. I have always been fascinated by the monorail. And I had never ridden on it. But this time - I got to ride on it TWICE!! We had to take the monorail from Epcot to Disney World and then back again to Epcot. I have no idea why I have been so fascinated by the monorail. Maybe it is because I have always liked trains and it is sort of like a train. And I had to have my picture taken while I was ON the monorail. Pure bliss!!! Isn't it funny how some of the most unusual things and sometimes very mundane things can make one so content!!

WELCOME TO DISNEY WORLD!!!

WE MADE IT!!! WE ARE AT DISNEY WORLD!!! It was about 3 pm but we still had the rest of the day to go. We arrived just in time for the parade and had "front row seats". Of course just before the parade, my family tried to "lose" me in Disney World. One minute I thought we were all waiting for the parade and I turn around and THEY ARE ALL GONE!!! Small moment of panic - then I remember the wonderful invention - cell phones!!! They had all moved up the street and didn't even notice I wasn't with them!!! But they couldn't escape me - I found them (or should I say they waited outside a store so I could see them!!).

We saw Mickey, Donald, Minnie, Baloo, Snow White and the 7 Dwarves, Beauty and the Beast - I think EVERYONE was in the parade. It was fun watching the kids' faces around us. They were taking it all in.

After the parade - we moved up the street and there it was - THE CASTLE!!! This is one of my very favorite pictures that I took. I just love it - to me it IS Disney World. The beauty and the fantasy that is everywhere you look. There was a picture everywhere just waiting to be taken. And I did my best to do just that!!!

THE LITTLE THINGS

Sometimes we tend to overlook "little" things - "simple" things - but these "little" things can say so much. For instance - this picture. It is of "the brother" Larry and his terrific wife - Betty. They have been married for almost 43 years. And yet, what does one notice about this picture - what "little" thing that means so much (and why I like this picture so much)? THEY ARE HOLDING HANDS!! And that is something I noticed they did all the time. Something else that I noticed and love about my family - never did we get upset with each other or get "out of sorts" with each other. Our time together was so special and full of joy and love. Just being together and seeing each other meant the world to each of us. "Little" things that mean so "Very Much"!!!

UNIQUE BEAUTY

That's what each of these pictures show - UNIQUE BEAUTY. Each one has a different type of beauty or feeling to it. Of course every one of the pictures is either made of flowers or has flowers around it. And all the flowers are so pretty in each of their own way. The Minnie Mouse flower sculpture made me feel like a kid again - seeing Mickey and Minnie Mouse everywhere you looked. And being surrounded by family - well, it was a wonderful feeling. The copper horse sculpture was awesome - very unique in a very different sort of way. To make something that pretty out of copper - someone was very talented. And that talent was a God-given talent. And all of us have some kind of God-given gift (even though we may not know what it is). Then there was the flower butterfly - I love butterflies. And this butterfly was at the entrance to the butterfly "room" where there were all kinds of butterflies and you could walk among them. Then the last picture of the single beautiful flower. Some things are better standing all alone - their beauty stands out and kind of just says - Hey, look at me!! But then you put everything all together and what do you have - a beautiful arrangement of flowers and sculptures in a wonderful park for everyone to see and enjoy. And that is how I pictured our family that day - each one of us unique with our own unique gifts but put us all together and what do we have - a beautiful, loving family!!! And one that is greatly blessed by our Lord!!!
