Here I am - in the world of blogging. My very good friend Susan got me started on this. I am now starting a new adventure - my own blog.
The new year has been good so far. There are always blessings from God - both big and little - that He gives us every day. One of the big blessings this year is my new church. I transferred my membership to a new church which has blessed me in so many ways. I started going there last January and each Sunday I felt like God was speaking to me through the pastor. Lessons and instructions for me to listen and obey. The members of the church are so friendly and made me feel so welcome. It is definitely one of God's blessings.
The other blessings God has given me are my three little Italian Greyhounds - Thea, Tiki and Fancy. Fancy is the one sleeping on the cat condo; Tiki is the white one and Thea (my oldest) is the blue & white one lying down. They have blessed my life in many ways - making me laugh, snuggling next to me when I cry, and always listening to me when I pour out my soul. Never judging me or putting me down. Loving me no matter what. God has given me these three and I thank Him for them. Now he has blessed us with a new addition to the family - Jenna. Jenna is a full-sized greyhound, a fawn-colored female who was rescued from the racetrack after she was retired. She is 2 years old and is so sweet, mellow, loveable, and I know she was sent to us for a reason. And God will show that reason is His time. Right now she is being loved and giving us love in return. Jenna is only 2 months off the racetrack and will need time to regrow her hair on her back legs from being in a crate all day and will need a few pounds put on her. Will post a new picture in a month or so showing how she is doing.
And the biggest blessing God has given me (and my whole family) is the successful removal of the pituitary gland brain tumor my brother Larry had. It was a scary time thinking of Larry going through a brain surgery but the Lord was always by my side and always with Larry. He has blessed Larry with a quick recovery from the surgery and Larry is gaining his strength more and more each day. Thank You Lord for keeping Larry safe and well during the surgery and recovery. I love you Lord and I Praise Your Name!!
