Today Jenna figured out how she can run and play in our yard, which is not very big. And yes, she can run! She was not even running at her top speed, but she was still flying around the yard. She was doing figure 8's around our two crepe myrtle bushes - one at each end of the yard, with me in the middle. She was having a great time flying by me, rounding a crepe myrtle and flying by me again to the other end of the yard. We played for several minutes and even managed to tire her out a little. She is settling in great!! She has even done the greyhound cockroaching - laying on her back with 4 feet up in the air. What a clown. Her tail is always wagging and she is such a happy dog.
We have scheduled our "home visit" with the Greyhound Rescue representative for Tuesday. She will come and inspect our home and see how Jenna is interacting with us and the other 3 "girls". After the inspection (and if we pass), then the paperwork will be done and she will be officially ours! The rescue groups do an excellent job of placing these dogs. They make sure they are put in homes that will love them and take care of them for the rest of their lives. It will be fun watching Jenna as she learns that she is here forever. And watching her run just for the fun of it!!

WOW! Look at her go! I am so glad that things are working out with Jenna. I know it is hard to integrate a new member into an established household, but she seems to be doing wonderfully! I am so happy for you! Love you!
Hope you get Jenna, which there is no doubt as you two are such dog lovers. Jenna and Homer could do their blitzing together. He loves to blitz through the house!
Love you, Marilyn
