Well, there it is. The completed front walkway/porch. After a "zillion" bags of marble rock, planting of flowers and a new tree, it was done. HOWEVER, the new little flowers could not take the heat (literally) and were practically FRIED the first day in the sun. So we moved the planter and flowers to the back yard and went out and bought this cute little bear!! Now he can keep watch on who comes to see us!!! I would like maybe a couple more pieces of "yard art", but Terri had to really be convinced we needed even this one little guy. But isn't he just too cute???!!!!
Our little dogwood tree is doing great and the grass we had to replant around it is coming up quickly. Our yard is finally looking good!! The rain we have been having has helped a lot. The flowers and shrubs around the area are so green and vibrant in color!! I love this time of year!!!
We are postponing doing the project in the back yard till next year. Something to look forward to. Plus we have both seen and spread our fill of marble rock for this year.
