"You are my special angel" - that was the song that my sister Marilyn and her husband, Vince were dancing to. This was "THEIR" dance which was at the surprise birthday party that was held for Marilyn on Saturday night, May 3. The surprise party was the last surprise in a long list of surprises she received for her 70th birthday celebration.
And what a celebration it was!! I will try to post a note on this blog for several days, showing a picture from that wonderful week in Florida and what the picture meant to me. Marilyn turned 70 on May 1 and what a birthday she had. The Lord blessed us all with good weather, good health, good travels, and lots and lots of love for each other.
And what better way to start a series of blogs on her birthday than with this song/dance. Because - Marilyn collects (among several things) beautiful angel figurines. She has a wonderful collection and no two are alike. And she and Vince are blessed with a beautiful, loving marriage which everyone could see as they danced to this special song. A song and dance which had all her sisters crying on the sidelines. There were so many wonderful highlights of our celebration in Florida, but this dance was one that I think the whole family would agree was the most special and memorable. I hope we will all keep this image in our mind when we think of our own relationships with others and know that there are many out there who are "special angels" to each of us. It was a fantastic trip and one I know I will never forget.
